In 1946 the Zanatta family started their own family shoe business in a little shop in Nervesa della Battaglia in Italy. After the war with the economy rising, the family business started to flourish.
The Asolo brand was founded in 1975 by Giancarlo Tanzi who invented the first trekking boots using Cordura materials – a massive innovation that changed the way of making outdoor footwear. Asolo was also the first company that launched Gore-tex technology footwear.
In 1998 the third generation of the Zanatta family, the three children of Ambrosiano Zanatta, Anna, Marco and Luca bought the Asolo brand as it perfectly reflected their values as shoe makers.
